Our Mission

HPRA is dedicated to defending the dignity, safety, and digital rights of everyday people. In a world where online harassment, doxxing, stalking, and disinformation spill into real life, we empower individuals, educate communities, and strengthen the ability of law enforcement to protect privacy in both digital and physical spaces.

Privacy is not a luxury — it is a human right.

Goals

  • Advocacy & Awareness on cyberstalking, doxxing, bullying, and disinformation.
  • Support & Resources for victims to protect their digital identities.
  • Community Education with practical, accessible privacy skills.
  • Law Enforcement Collaboration to improve investigation and prosecution of digital crimes.
  • Student Engagement through hands-on HPRA Cyber Fellows experiences.
  • Policy & Reform to advance stronger privacy protections.
  • Holistic Privacy addressing both digital and physical risks.

Why We Exist

HPRA was founded out of lived experience: the relentless reality of stalking, coordinated harassment, and disinformation. What began as a personal fight to protect privacy has become a collective mission to help others.

We envision a future where privacy rights are upheld with the same seriousness as physical safety; where victims of digital crimes have clear pathways to justice; where students gain career‑building experience; and where people can participate online without fear.

Minnesota leadership perspective: In a 2024 conversation, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison emphasized a dire need for organizations like HPRA to fill gaps traditional systems cannot. (Paraphrased.)
